If I was young, I’d flee this town
I’d bury my dreams underground
As did I, we drink to die, we drink tonight“Elephant Gun”, Beirut
I’m obsessed with the passage of time and how mortality affects each of us. Avoiding the concept of your own mortality is as bad as dwelling on it – we’re all going to die at some point, and it’s no good to pretend that deaths not going to happen, but we must cling to the fact we are lucky enough to be alive at all.
This week we have Nadine Shah, Beirut, David Bowie, Guy Clark, Hank Williams III (again!), and the Handsome Family.
