Feeling Accomplished

Today, I banged out a five-page draft of my psychology research paper. I wrote mine on the effects of twelve-step groups on depression and alcohol/drug use. Turns out that the research says groups lower depression and drinking, but have little of an effect on drug use. That matches what I’ve seen in real life. I think drinking is a more social vice, so having peer support might be more beneficial to alcoholics, and addicts are more solitary…I don’t know, I’ve seen some amazing successes through NA.

And I worked out today! Even if my version of a “squat” is more like “lowering my butt by two inches”, I’m happy. Progress is progress.
